More than 200 government vehicles have reported to Kohima Local Ground till October 29 as part of the vehicle requisition for the forthcoming bye-election to the 14 Southern Angami- I Assembly Constituency.
Another 100 vehicles are likely to report in a day or two, informed Shaying Sheu, SDO (C), Kohima, who is in-charge of vehicle requisition for polls. He informed that show-cause notice will be served to those departments who are yet to report for vehicle requisition.
The SDO added that due to the COVID -19 pandemic, the requirement of vehicles will be more this time. However, private vehicles may not be required as government vehicles requisition will be able to meet the need for the conducts of bye-election, he informed.
The poll is scheduled for November 3.
