Mokokchung, January 4 (MExN): The Kangtsung Kaketshir Telungjem (KKT) celebrated its platinum jubilee at Kangtsung village with the theme ‘Wholistic Development’ on December 28 and 29.
According to a press release, around 400 students hailing from different units including Tuli, Kangtsung Yimsen, Aopenzu, Mokokchung, Kohima, Dimapur along with huge number of well-wishers and families attended the celebration.
The programme stated with keynote address delivered by Subonenba Longkumer. Short speeches were delivered by L Nungsang Jamir, DAO, Zunheboto, P Tiakala, Senior Announcer, AIR Mokokchung, Dr Imlisenba Lemtur (Pediatrician), Dr Temjensunep (Orthopaedician), Presidents of Wameken Students’ Union and Anaki Yimsen Students’ Union, Dr Limanukshi, Senior Specialist, CHC Meluri, I Alemla Jamir, Divisional Manager, The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. Dimapur, Matsungshilu, Dy Commandant (2 IC) 13NAP (IR) with two HSLC Toppers 2013.
Imsutoshi Lemtur, Associate Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo, who was the main speaker at the Jubilee Service on December 29, encouraged the young minds into becoming self-reliant.
Some other dignitaries who attended the event were Washimong Sadem Longkumer, President, Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (LKM) and Shaying Sheu, ADC Tuli.
Highlights of the two-day event included night carnival, volleyball exhibition matches, and evening concerts where some of the artists were Temsu Clover, Sunep Lemtur, Toshimoa, Mapulemba P Jamir, Opangsunep & his crew, Shilurenla Tzudir , Linuknaro, Boney Kand a Guest Band from RKS Tuli.
