District level Krishi Mela of Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari campaign was held in Longleng on April 26.
Longleng, April 28 (MExN): ATMA Longleng and KVK Longleng organised district level Krishi Mela of Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2022 on April 26. Altogether 107 farmers from different villages participated in the programme.
During the programme, Supongmar Longchar, DAO Longleng graced the event as special guest. In his speech, he emphasised on doubling the farmer’s income through crop rotation and incorporating ITK in day to day farming activities.
Officials from Agri and allied departments highlighted their ongoing schemes and projects available for the farmers, stated a press release.
Farmers’ Scientist interaction was also organised where Dr Lily Ngullie I/c Senior Scientist and Head highlighted the cultivation of millets, oil seeds and bio fortified crops, Natural farming etc.
Three progressive farmers from Longleng, Tamlu and Sakshi blocks were felicitated for their contribution in the field of agriculture, horticulture and livestock.
Exhibition of different agricultural tools and implements were also showcased.
