Painting, essay, quiz competitions

Kohima, August 22 (DIPR): The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India is conducting a nationwide painting competition in two categories, essay competition in 23 languages, and a quiz competition commencing from August 16 for a period of two months.  

Winners of the competitions will be given cash prizes, laptops and a study tour to Japan. The competitions aim to raise awareness among the youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of petroleum products in industrial, transportation, agriculture and domestic sectors, and how to practice such conservation in their daily lives. Students can present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emissions in English, Hindi, or Regional languages.   To achieve the objective of reaching to one crore children, PCRA has developed a web portal and a mobile app for schools and school children to participate in the above competitions and send their entries through PCRA web-portal www.pcracompetitions.org and mobile application Pcra-competitions. Detailed instructions for conducting the competitions are available on the portal. The highlight of the event is receiving all entries through digital means.   All heads of registered institutions have been requested to disseminate the information and encourage interested children to participate in the competition.
