'Pan Asian Food Festival' in Dimapur from Oct 2-8

This Puja break, it sure is going to be a rare treat for foodies and gourmets of Dimapur who are into South East Asian delicacies.
Nagabowl Express, the popular restaurant specialized in traditional Naga thali (dishes) is organizing a first ever ‘Pan Asian Food Festival’ at the Nagabowl Express Restaurant, Bank Colony, opposite Naga Shopping Arcade, from October 2 to 8.
And the chef for the weeklong food festival is none other than Chef Manee Phaprom, specialized in Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Malaysian and Chinese cuisines.
Chef Manee has more than 40 years experience as a chef and worked in reputed 5 Stars hotels in India including Marriot Welcome Hotel, Maratha Sheraton Hotel, Courmet Palace.
On Monday evening, media persons were privileged to meet the famed chef and also sample some of her mouth watering cuisines like ‘Tom Yam Kong (prawn soup), ‘Som Tam’ (papaya salad), Thai green curry and stirred fried vegetables, steamed rice and Thai barbecued chicken.
“Since the first time I came and started working here in India, I had always heard a lot about the northeastern people. I have always felt a very close connection with north east people”, Manee said.
She also said she had very close connection with many northeastern people whom she mentored in the hotel. And now the lady specialized in Asian culinary delights is finally here in Dimapur for the foodies and gourmets-
The management of Nagabowl Express is equally excited and expressed optimism that the festival would attract all sections of age group and cross sections of society.
“Now for the first time, you can get to sample and taste quality Asian culinary delights served in 5 Star hotels in your own hometown at affordable price”, one of the Nagabowl Express management said.
