DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): Pangkhao Konyak, who works as teacher at GHS Zuheshe, Niuland won the essay writing competition for government teachers organized by the Department of School Education.
Presentation of awards to the winners was done at the conference hall, Project Management Office, Directorate of School Education, Kohima on October 25.
Pangkhao Konyak submitted the winning entry on the topic ‘Educational Vision: Best Practices in School Governance and Management’.
Project Director of Nagaland Education Project –The Lighthouse (NECTAR), Shanavas C, IAS, stated the purpose of the essay competition was to meaningfully engage with teachers as stakeholders towards the project aim of improving overall quality of education and transforming the education system in Nagaland.
A total of 134 government teachers from 83 government schools across all twelve districts of the state participated in the competition. The prize for winning entry was an Android Tablet worth Rs 20,000 for the participant teacher and an all-in-one printer worth Rs 20,000 for the school. Prizes for the district level winning entries include Android Tablet worth Rs 19,000 for the participant teacher and an all-in-one printer worth Rs 8,000 for the school.
Winners of the essay writing competition in the district level category have been requested to collect the prizes from October 25 to 29 (10:00am to 4:00 pm) from the PMU Office, top floor, Directorate of School Education, Upper Bayavü, Kohima.
