Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Minister of Art and Culture, Tourism and Election EE Pangteang paid his first visit to State Library, Art and Culture, Kohima on June 1. He personally inspected the progress of the ongoing renovation works at the State Library and is hopeful that the work will be completed at the earliest to enable the users to avail its services.
In his remarks, he appreciated the systematic arrangement and neat and clean upkeep of the Library environment and encouraged the staff to continue to work hard. He was appreciative of the Library collection which comes to about 55, 000 volumes and personally browsed through books related to Nagas which are kept in separate section. Earlier, he also visited Fira Hotel and commented that the hotel urgently needs to go for restoration and renovation work considering the present condition. The Minister was accompanied by Director, Art and Culture K. K.Yeputhomi and Additional Director and H.O.D., Tourism P. Angami.
