Kohima, May 14 (DIPR): The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) has directed all departments to furnish report with regard to the government’s order issued last year on condonation of overage government servants. The report must be submitted by June 10, 2018 to the department concerned for further necessary action.
The Nagaland government had issued instructions vide P&AR department's Office Memorandum last year that all departments may review their incumbency lists and service books to ascertain if there is any case pending for condonation of overage.
The review was to be completed by July 31, 2017. Pending case, if any, was to be referred to the P&AR department by August 30, 2017; in exceptional circumstances, a further grace period of one month may be allowed. No case for condonation of overage shall be entertained by the P&AR Department after September 30, 2017, the order had said.
The P&AR department noted that many departments are sending proposal for clearance for condonation of overage after the grace period. The government has viewed it seriously and directed all the departments to ensure that there are no such cases remaining.
