Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Youth Congress under 59 A/C today alleged that Parliamentary Secretary for Land Resources Development, C Kipili Sangtam has drawn ‘easy money’ by deducting and siphoning money from the various funds meant for the people in the state.
A press release received here from the secretary of the NYC, TS James Sor while making the allegation, said that the news item published in the local dallies on ay 25 where the parliamentary secretary encouraged to make ‘easy money’ simply means that he has drawn Rs 50 lakhs from the DUDA fund without undertaking the work against the 59 A/C and that he never issued the work order to the original beneficiaries in the constituencies.
In this connection the NYC secretary further alleged that C Kipili Sangtam allotted Rs 50 lakhs for the construction of his own petrol pump from the DUDA fund 2006-07 scheme.
“‘55% PMGSY and DUDA fund works have been completed’ means that he (Kipili) has taken 55% commission from the contractors” the NYC secretary tried to explained.
The NYC secretary also rubbished the claims of Kipili Sangtam that the “150 MW Tizu and Zingki Basin Hydel Project and Inland Waterways are almost ready and that global tender is being floated”. In this regard, the release alleged that the DPR and pre-feasibility report on the said project and inland waterway respectively by the CEA and Civil aviation, have not been completed yet.
Standing on the above allegation, the release stated that the parliamentary secretary is trying to attract the voters of his constituency in view of the forthcoming general elections.
James Sor, in his release further strongly reminded Parliamentary Secretary C Kipili Sangtam that he has failed to fulfill the ‘agreement’ signed between him and the public of Longmatra Area and added that Kipili Sangtam has very slim chances of winning state elections in the future.
It further stated that the ‘detail records’ will be release dlater in the media.
