Passion for Excellence Prog underway

Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): The 6th “Passion for Excellence” a three day capacity building programme for the youth was inaugurated yesterday at Peace Channel Hall Dimapur.   Som Kamei IPS, director of NEZCC, was the chief guest. He exhorted the youth to choose their career when they are young. “The parents and teachers can guide you to select the career but the choice is always yours.”
He also said that there is no easy way to achieve goals in life but hard work. While addressing them he also said that youth can bring positive changes and difference in the family and the society by being honest with oneself and with the career chosen. Sharing his life experiences, he emphasized humility plays a crucial in every stage of life, stated a press note issued by David, Peace Channel Desk.
It also stated that Rev.C.P. Anto, stressed on the objectives, and importance of the programme. Later he took a session on goal setting. Setting a goal is very important and it is a strong drive from within that drives us to do and become what we want. It enables us to commit ourselves to achieve our goal. Once goal is set, we become unstoppable.  When we are committed to achieving our goal, we identify ourselves as a positive person who claims a successful outcome for our own life. Just setting a realistic goal, we can transform our lives added in his session.
Also, Leonard Aier, principal of City Law College, enlightened the participants on different aspects of careers.  His personal experience was a life-changing factor for many listeners. The program will continue for another two more days with different resource persons on leadership, interview skills, public speaking, careers in armed forces etc., Around 32 youth participated in the programme.
