A patient from Zion Hospital and Research Centre, Dimapur, was relocated to the District COVID-19 Hospital on July 22. According to official sources, an elderly patient from Kalibari Road was admitted to the ZHRC on July 21.
He reportedly displayed COVID-19 symptoms based on which precautionary sample screening was done via TrueNat on July 22.
It returned positive, after which he was forwarded to the District COVID-19 Hospital. Confirmatory RT-PCR test result was being awaited.
Neither the District Task Force (DTF) nor the ZHRC management issued any official announcement. On the status of the hospital, an official source quoting DTF members informed that the district administration was still to issue any directive.
“Pending the confirmatory result, the hospital will not be sealed,” the source said. Despite this, it was added that the ZHRC has taken self-imposed response measures, as would any hospital, while it waits for the result.
