
Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Y Patton has condoled the demise of K Sankaranarayanan, veteran Congressman and former Governor of Nagaland on April 24.
Late Sankaranarayanan joined politics from a young age and served as Cabinet minister in Kerala couple of times before being appointed as a Governor in states like Maharashtra and Jharkhand besides Nagaland, Patton stated in a condolence note.
In his death the nation has lost a tall visionary leader, he noted.
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, he further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Meanwhile, Patton also condoled the death of Chuba Jamir, a renowned musician of the state.
He was a great musician who brought joy into the lives of many people, he noted.
The late crooner was famous for belting out hindi songs at any given occasion specially that of Kishore Kumar flawlessly, Patton added.
Stating that Jamir’s demise is a big blow to the music fraternity of Nagaland, the Dy CM conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed to rest in eternal peace.
