PCNPI hopes to bring negotiating parties together

The Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue on Monday held its meeting here at the State Banquet Hall. Talking to media persons after the meeting, the Committee Member Secretary Neiba Kronu said that the meeting went “very well.”

The meeting also discussed on July 9 resolution of the Committee, which will be discussed again at the State Assembly session tomorrow (August 3), said Kronu, who is also Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs.

“We want to bring both the negotiating parties together once again,” he said adding that everybody in the meeting has agreed for “One Solution, One Agreement.” And not like before, we may give more pressure this time to the negotiating parties, Kronu said.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Co-Convenors TR Zeliang and Y Patton, and all the parties including Independent MLAs and they shared their opinion on the Naga political issue.

MP Rajya Sabha KG Kenye was also present while Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi could not attend due to the ongoing Parliament session in Delhi.
