PDA campaign begins in Wokha

Wokha, May 16 (MExN): People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) kick started its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha bye-election in Wokha today at VDB conference hall.  

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, PDA candidate Tokheho Yepthomi, and YM Humtsoe delivered speeches, informed a press release from BJP Wokha district.   According to the release, the speakers urged to vote for the right person, pointing out that the PDA has fielded an “experienced, humble and senior politician” in the stature of Tokheho Yepthomi.  

They also encouraged everyone gathered to look to the future focusing on development and for early settlement of the Naga political problem.  

An emergency co-ordination meeting was also held at the same venue, where all district office bearers, frontals presidents/secretaries, mandal presidents and general secretaries of the BJP, NDPP, and JDU affirmed to work for the forthcoming Lok Sabha bye-election, the release added.
