Wokha, May 23 (MExN): In view of the state Lok Sabha bye-poll election scheduled on May 28, the People Democratic Alliance (PDA) government, comprising of NDPP, BJP JDU and NCP Party held an intensive three days campaign at 37th Tuyi assembly constituency under Wokha District on May 23.
Private Secretary to Deputy CM Hachio Patton, addressing during the campaign urged the people not to have misconception about CM Rio coming back to state politics and clarified that the coming back of the state politics vacated the Lok Sabha seat and added that his come back to state politics was desired by the people for a stable government.
According to a press release, Patton also informed that PDA government has chosen Tokeho Yepthomi as the consensus candidate for vast political experience during the past and his seasoned political leadership and added that Tokeho Yepthomi was positive to win the forth coming election, for which he called upon the voters of 37 AC to give support and be a part of the government under the dynamic leadership of CM Rio and it's alliance partner and state BJP leader & Deputy CM Y Patton. He also called upon the public to forgive and forget the difference during the last state assembly election.
BJP Wokha district president, Meribemo during the campaign said in the history Nagaland, the ruling government never lost against the opposition candidate, further appeals the people of 37 to exercise their franchise in favor of PDA candidate, for more development in the state.
The three days campaign by the alliance partner of PDA government was lead by campaign Convener and BJP President 37 Tuyi AC Renben Ngullie.
