Zunheboto, May 20 (DIPR): People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) organized a rally for the ensuing Lok Sabha bye-election in Aghunato Town on May 18.
Advisor F&C, Legal Metrology and NSDMA Pukhayi Assumi, who graced the event, thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for fielding an MP candidate from the soil of Aghunato while referring to Tokheho Yepthomi, the PDA candidate. He requested the public to cast their vote in favour of a person “whose navel string has been buried in the soil of Aghunato.”
Recalling the “wisdom and unity” of the forefathers who designed a society of Aghunato that has come this far, he reminded the people to honour the pioneers for their sacrifice and far-sightedness.
“Focus of the Nagas at present stage is on employment and raising economy. And it can be achieved through 'Politics', by supporting the right and able candidate,” Pukhayi said while speaking in support of Tokheho Yepthomi.
“NDPP winning in the upcoming bye-election is eminent,” he further asserted confirming “win” in all the 34 ruling constituencies in the State.
Meanwhile, NDPP president Zunheboto division, Khehoshe encouraged Aghunato public not to miss an opportunity being offered. Requesting the people to refrain from doubts or hesitation, he sought co-operation in support of Tokheho Yepthomi.
Speeches from the four ranges under Aghunato were delivered by Hetovi, GB Aghunato range; Kavito, GB Tokiye range; Khuvito, GB Hoshepu range; and Vitokhu, GB Sata range.
Other leaders from Aghunato who spoke during the programme were Akashe Zhimo, president Aghunato Union Dimapur, Aheto Zhimo, Vikheho (GB), Ghokheto Yeptho, Toniho Yeptho, Kashito (GB).
All the speeches focused on all round development and prosperity.
