PDCC reiterates stand on Naga Pol solution

Phek, July 21 (MExN): The Phek   District   Congress   Committee (PDCC) on Friday reiterated that Congress stands for an early peaceful Naga political solution.

“We believe that the post-solution era can usher in a progressive society, a new beginning with equal opportunities and transformations in our daily life where we can experience rapid development and growth without fear from extortion, illegal taxes, cuts and commissions, backdoor appointments, favouritism, bribery and all kinds of corruptions,” PDCC, President, Khosapa Venuh and General Secretary, Rilo Therie stated in a press release.

“We aspire to restore sense of responsibility and moral integrity,” it stated while appealing to “all like-minded folks and the intellectuals to join hands with Congress to fight for the future of our people and the generations down the line.”

Meanwhile, it stated that eight Congress Legislators, including the then incumbent NPCC, President had defected to NPF in November 2015 leaving the Party in a dire state since its formation in Nagaland.

“This was when the AICC had appointed K Therie as NPCC President and ever since then, Therie had boldly led the party by pushing its secular ideologies, sincerely voicing for an early solution to the protracted Naga political problem, and openly exposing the deficiencies of the various successive Governments to date,” it added.
