PEREN, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): The Peren District Football Association (PDFA) elected a new team of office bearers for the 2025-2027 tenure during its general body meeting held at Tepuiki River, Peren, on February 13. Raithu Newmai was elected president, with Moses Iheilung and Tuntan Dailiam serving as vice presidents. Kengimpeuding Hegui was named general secretary, while Ngautube R. Chamlak and Aphun Gonmei were appointed joint secretaries. Er. Asembe Mbung will serve as treasurer, alongside other executive members. The meeting focused on strategies to promote football in the district, with members discussing grassroots development and adopting key resolutions to strengthen the sport. Returning Officer Heichi Erangbe and Assistant Returning Officer Deusoyi Rangkau oversaw the election process. The session concluded with a prayer by former PDFA treasurer Khusi Haikube and was attended by PDFA executive members, football enthusiasts, and stakeholders committed to advancing the sport.
