The 38th meet 2025 of the Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) will take place from February 4 to 8 at Phek Town. The meet will be hosted by PDSA in collaboration with Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS).

Nagaland Power & Parliamentary Affairs Minister KG Kenye will be the special guest at the inaugural programme while NPF Legislature Party Leader Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA will be the guest of honour.

PDSA President Nezosa Tetseo informed that around 1000 athletes from various areas, along with management officials, will participate in the meet.

Competitions will be held in track and field events, games and Naga wrestling across different categories.

The meet will feature track events such as the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, and 10,000m races, along with relay races and a mixed relay race. Field events will include discus throw, javelin throw, shot put, long jump, high jump, triple jump and arm wrestling. Team games such as football, volleyball, and basketball will also be part of the meet.

In Naga wrestling, it will feature 90kg, 75kg, and 65kg categories for male and 60kg and 50kg categories for female. The men’s football champion will receive Rs 300000 (Late Soyie Doulo Memorial Trophy). The men’s volleyball champion will be awarded with Rs 100000, sponsored by Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu while runner-up will receive Rs 50,000 (Late Vezo Rhakho Memorial Trophy). The women’s volleyball champion will be awarded Rs 100000 (Late M Vero Memorial Trophy) while the men’s basketball champion will receive Rs 100000 (Late Vekrosa Vero Memorial Trophy).

The prizes for Naga style wrestling category for both men and women is sponsored by the VDB Union, Phek Block. The best-discipline team will be awarded with Rs 1,00,000, (Late W.C. Krome Memorial Trophy) while the group champion will receive Rs 2,00,000, (Late Vamuzo Memorial Trophy).
