Wokha, May 17 (MExN): Peace Channel organized a leadership training programme for the Peace Club members of Libemo Memorial School in Wokha on May 15.
24 members along with two teacher animators participated in the training, which was held with an objective of helping the student leaders discover the true meaning of leadership, to build their confidence, and pave the way for future inspirational leaders.
Peace activist Patrick W Tungoe speaking to the students stated leadership is not about a title or a designation, but a person who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way, informed a press release from Peace Channel. He also noted that a leader creates an inspiring vision for the future, coaches and builds a team and motivates and inspires the people to engage more effectively at achieving the goals. Tungoe further encouraged the participants to work on effective speaking and communication as well as set SMART Goals, which is specific, measurable, achievable, rational/realistic and time bound to achieve the set goals.
