People shopping ahead of total lockdown in Kohima

People do shopping ahead of total lockdown on July 24 in Kohima. A total lockdown will be enforced within Kohima municipal area from July 25 to 31. Kohima DC on Thursday informed that the decision for total lockdown was taken during the emergency meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima on July 23. The lockdown has been enforced in order to enhance active surveillance by the CMO in coordination with Team Kohima and to ensure more comprehensive contact tracing, early detection of suspected cases and isolation measures so as to slow down the chain of transmission.
