Mon, October 1 (MExN): An orientation programme for line departments on People's Plan Campaign 2021-22 for Gram Panchayat Development Plan 2022-23 with the theme ‘Sabkhi Yojana Sabka Vikas’ was held at Resource Centre, DRDA Mon on September 29.
According to a DIPR report received on October 1, Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K stated that the plan should ensure empowerment of people and requested all the line departments to put in whole-hearted efforts to ensure whatever is planned gets implemented.
Project Director, DRDA Mon, M Temjen Longchar highlighted three main areas of focus which included identification and provision of livelihood, provision of all entitlements, and provisions of public goods and services, the report stated.
Longchar expressed hope that with the active participation of all the line departments, the campaign which is scheduled for October 3 to January 9, 2022 would be successful.
A presentation on the ‘Gram Panchayat Development Plan for 2022-23’ was presented by Block Development Officer for Tobu RD Block W Moba Konyak which was followed by discussion on the Schemes under 29 Subjects (As per Article 243G of the Constitution) with the line department officials, according to the DIPR.
The programme also witnessed nomination of Frontline Workers from the line departments and finalization on the presentation of activities by the line departments at the GPDP Special Gram Sabha 2021-22.
The programme was chaired by DPO DRDA Mon, T Manhom Konyak who also pronounced the invocation and concluding remarks, the report stated.
