Peren, November 6 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board Peren was held on November 6 at DC's Conference Hall, District Hq Peren, under the Chairmanship of Vice-Chairman DPDB and DC Peren, S Tainiu. S Tainiu congratulated all heads of offices for their contributions and support in making the recently concluded Mini Hornbill festival celebration a successful one which was the first of its kind in the district. DPDB meeting approved the following: Opening of Yettrang Academy Nagaland at Ahthibung; upgradation of GMS to GHS Khelma; upgradation of CHC Jalukie to 50 bedded. Lack of manpower in SBI branch Tening was discussed and the board, after lengthy deliberations recommended for early posting of subordinate staffs to fully function the branch to provide banking facilities to the remote areas. Paper presentations were given by Kiengau Nda BDO Jalukie on behalf of District Rural Development Agency Peren.
