Peren DPDB talks on ‘backward provision’ for Rongmei community under NEC

Peren, August 6 (MExN): The Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting held on Friday discussed the ‘backward provision’ for Rongmei community under NEC.

Speaking at the meeting held on August 6, the Rongmei Baptist Association Nagaland (RBAN) Development Secretary, Akeina Gonmei apprised the members about the project. Mentioning that RBAN, implementing partner society along with Social Welfare Initiative for Fundamental Transformation (SWIFT) as sister agency of implementing partner society, it has already submitted a proposal with two components under the proposal titled economic upliftment of Rongmei community in Peren District to Deputy Commissioner. 

A DIPR report stated that the proposal was later approved by the members present and decided to forward the same to the Planning & Coordination and NEC for further perusal of the project concern.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of DC Peren and vice chairman DPDB Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS also deliberated on the various agenda which including approval of LADP 2021-2022 for 7 A/C Peren; construction of District Soil Office Staff Quarter at Peren Hq. Work distribution for forthcoming Independence Day celebration was also held and after taking views and suggestions from the members, the board decided to conduct a mass social work on August 12 at the district headquarter.
