Peren Government College, visited the A.Z, Phizo Cave and Rani Gaidinliu Cave

The Department of History, Peren Government College, visited the A.Z, Phizo Cave and Rani Gaidinliu Cave at Puilwa Village, Peren District, Nagaland as part of its Study Tour on July 21. The tour team comprised of the 1st, 3rd and 5th Semester Major students, faculty members along with Namteibui Kenrang as Tour Guide and Nampeu Nza as Resource Person. The Caves are of historical importance as both were used as hide outs - in 1932 by Rani Gaidinliu while eluding the Britishers and during the NNC Movement A.Z Phizo along with his followers in August 1956 on his way to London via Myanmar.
