Peren, April 28 (MExN): In commemoration of Peren Town 75th anniversary, a literary cum cultural fest programme was held at Peren Government College with ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui, NCS as the special guest on April 27.
The special guest in his short speech requested the gathering to get proper knowledge of how the town was established. The establishment of the town and implications of setting up the school reflects the yearning of the people to seek education and so Government Higher Secondary School Peren is also celebrating its 75th years of existence, he added. He encouraged the students to put in more effort in their studies and said that Nagas are unique as far as identity is concern and urged the parents to inculcate their children in the fields of education.
A DIPR report stated that a short speech was delivered by Vice Principal, PGC, Albert while Dr A Nshoga, Principal, PGC highlighted the importance of culture and literature of the Nagas.
