The 44th convention-cum-music festival of Pesocha Baptist Church Council (PBCC) Khriesarüü Krotho (Youth) under the theme ‘You are my witness’ (Isaiah 43:10) and hosted by Nerhema Baptist Church got underway at Nerhema village under Kohima district.

PBCC President Rev Neivilie Zuyie hoisted the convention flag and dedicated the tabernacle today.

The programme was led by Kelhouvilie Kense, Finance Secretary PBCC Youth. Khedi Baptist Church presented a male voice while Chedema Baptist church blew the trumpet to herald the start of the convention.

Later in the vesper,  Kevilhouleü S Kehie, Youth Director, Angami Baptist Church Council was the speaker. She  underlined the need for understanding the purpose and call of God by heeding to the call with unreserved heart and warned that the heart can mislead when it is not rule by God and unbelieving. She also exhorted the youth to get rid of evils and introspect oneself and discover oneself to follow Christ with dedication and commitment.

Kehie said the call of God today is to hold firm in faith and have a courageous faith that is persistent and keeping a healthy spiritual life. Further, she challenged the leaders to lead with love and nurture faith, so as to serve better and build the Kingdom of God that is being entrusted to Christian as disciples.

Youth are the greatest armour of God, he told the youth and challenged them to encourage one another spiritually and make the convention and music fest as a time to re-commit their life to Christ.

Further, he urged upon the youth to awaken themselves in Christ and further work for the lost souls.

Day one programme also witnessed chorals presentation from Botsa Baptist Church and Meriema Baptist Church, memory verse by Kijumetouma Baptist Church, special song by Tsiemekhuma Baptist Church.

The programme was led by Shurhovotuo Rulho. The theme song for the convention was composed by Kezhalenuo Kesiezie and music arranged by Vikhietuonuo Rutsa was presented by PBCC Youth officer bearers. Praise and worship is being led by Nagabazar Baptist Church Youth.

On January 28, there will be competitions for Group song competitions and bible recitation.
