PGC bids farewell to outgoing VP Singsit

Phek, October 3 (MExN): Pfutsero Government College bade farewell to Thangkhotinlal (Lalboi) Singsit, Vice Principal, who served the college for the past 35 years.
The College was incepted in 1982 and he joined the college in 1984. Guests included administration, public organization, former board members, stakeholders, parent-teacher association, alumni, public leaders and well-wishers graced the farewell programme.
A press release from Mass Media Committee, PGC, Pfutsero stated the session was chaired by Tavezo Theluo, Assistant Professor and speeches were delivered by Mikha Kenye, President CPO; Puneru Rose, Head GB & Former Board Member; Neikhwetso Mero, President, PTA Association PGCP; Reka Mero, President Alumni Association, EGF Pfutsero and the PGCSU student executive.
Cognizance messages were sent by Neiba Kronu, Chotisuh Sazo, Thenucho Tunyi, Kewekhape Therie, Deo Nukhu, former Principals Dr Stephen Lotha and Dr Watijungshi Jamir.
Dr Moanochet Longchar, Principal PGCP gave a brief remark about the outgoing Vice Principal.
Outgoing Vice Principal, Singsit delivered a heart-warming farewell speech, the release added. He shared about the struggles and challenges faced by the college in the initial years and how he shared the vision with the first Principal, late Weprenyi Kapfo and the community in building the college.
He acknowledged the selfless contributions of all the leaders, surrounding villages, elders, college staff and colleagues who nurtured the college to where it is now.
Noteworthy achievements during his tenure in the college included- the college undertaking by Government of Nagaland in 2009, attaining 2(f) for the college and many others.
He took pride in the undying spirit and tradition of the college and affirmed the hand of God upon it.
The programme ended with the college anthem ‘Meliora’ written by Singsit. Reverend Dzuthohu Kezo, Pastor, Kikruma Baptist Church gave the benediction.
