Kohima, September 23 (MExN): Assuring full support, the Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) appealed the law enforcement agencies within the jurisdiction of Phek district to curb the activities of all anti-social elements and continue to stand dutifully firm and remain resolute in maintaining law and order for betterment of the society.
It extended appreciation to DEF Phek for their continued efforts in checking the illegal imports and trafficking of drugs and alcohol within its jurisdiction, with special mention to the recently conducted raid on September 17, led by the Officer In-Charge Phek and Special Branch Personnel, by successfully apprehending law breakers and recovery of 5574 tablets of Sampex (Spasmo) and 270 bottles of MC Rum from various locations at Phek Town. The CYF requested all law abiding citizens to be model citizens and report such known illegal activities within Chakhesang jurisdiction so as to help law enforcement agencies to better serve the community. This was stated in a release issued by CYF president Vezhoduyi Nakro and general secretary Seve R. Vadeo.
