Kohima, April 16 (MExN): In continuation of Traffic Advisory notice pertaining to restriction of vehicular movement under Package-V of Kohima-Jessami Road due to ongoing excavation of hill slopes along the road at Chainage:115+600 to 115+850 (in between Losatephe & Lanezho Village), and as a precautionary measure for the general public, traffic movement along the stretch is hereby strictly restricted from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. for a further period of 13 days w.e.f. April 18 till 30.
During the restricted period, an alternate route via Pfutsero-Sakraba-Upper Khomi-Phek-Lanezho and vice versa may be utilized, this was stated by Phek Deputy commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam.
The Construction Company viz. KSPIRPL (JV) is directed to ensure that all excavation works be completed within the stipulated period of time. “No further extension for restriction of traffic will be entertained,” DC stated adding, “This is issued for strict compliance.”
