Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The District Level Committee for Mission Shakti District Hub, Mission Empowerment of Women, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Phek held a review meeting on May 8 at the Deputy Commissioner office Chamber Phek.
The meeting was chaired by Rhosietho Nguori, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, Mission Shakti Phek. DC Phek stressed the importance of women empowerment through active participation for the welfare of the women and girl child in the district.
He also encouraged the committee members to actively participate to support and contribute for the upliftment of the women in the society.
The PowerPoint presentation was given by Vilenuo K Thisa, District Mission Coordinator, DHEW Phek on various activities of DHEW, BBBP for the FY 2024-2025.
Jitsasa Ngusou, Centre Administrator, Sakhi- OSC Phek highlighted on Sakhi-OSC , Women Helpline -181 and its convergence with Administration, Medical, Police and legal services and Banks.
The District Level Committee meeting deliberated on various activities and also discussed the action plan for the current Financial Year for effective implementation of the programme.
