Kohima, August 12 (MExN): The launching ceremony of the Phek District Rifle Association (PDRA) took place today at Phek town.
Vesupra Kezo, Superintendent of Police, Phek and PDRA President said that shooting as a sport is gaining popularity in the country and bringing lots of medals to the country in international events. Stating that any sport discipline can only excel when there is strong foundation at the grassroots level, he felt that PDRA should take the lead in promoting shooting in the district.
The PDRA unanimously decided to conduct training at Phek in the near future in collaboration with Nagaland Shooting Sports Association (NSSA).
The officials for the PDRA include President- Vesupra Kezo, Vice President- Dode Nakro, Working President- Michael Rhakho, General Secretary- Nuyi Hoshi, Secretary- Abebi Nuwiry, Secretary- Swuyevezo Chizo and Razouvolie Dozo as Advisor.
