Referring to the government's policy of decentralising planning and development to the district level, Kenye urged members and officials to actively participate in DPDB meetings.
The minister also discussed development funds for the Urban Local Body in Phek and encouraged the chairperson of the Phek Town Council to initiate proposals to secure the funds.
Expressing concern over the law and order situation in the district, Kenye directed the district administration and police to remain alert as Phek shares a border with conflict-hit Manipur.
