Phek Police, CSU lead rehabilitation and livelihood drive for OST clients

Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): Rehabilitation, Counselling and livelihood training programme was conducted for OST clients at Phek headquarter by Phek Police in coordination with Chakhesang Students' Union (CSU) and DAPCU under the theme 'Yes to life and No to drugs' on April 25 at District Hospital Phek.

SP Phek, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS gave counseling, rehab medicine administration and livelihood training skills to them, stated a press release.

She urged them to work hard or take livelihood skills by which they may earn which can help them in education, health and other family needs. 

The Police Officer asked not to misuse OST or get in relapse but be determined to finish the treatment and then contribute to prosperous society.

EAC Phek, Imnalensa Walling, NCS, spoke on objectives of programme and asked the beneficiaries to have strong will power and choose livelihood instead of drugs and other intoxicants. 

She said there should not be any stigma towards them rather should be part of society.

CSU Vice President Puvozo motivated them and said that whole society will be their support and asked them to believe in themselves and leave drugs abuse.

Two OST clients gave their testimony.

Kuduvo Kezo, DAPCU Phek gave welcome address and Rev.Thepuchiyi, Pastor Phek town Baptist Church pronounced the Invocation and Wazote Akami ,Youth director PBC Phek Police read benediction.

Livelihood training on mudaas making was given by Phek Police.

Earlier the programme was chaired by Velato Neinu and was attended by 40 participants having OST clients and medical team.
