Phek: Refresher training on IHIP & FPLMIS for health workers held

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 19 (MExN): The Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) Phek conducted two days refresher training on IHIP and FPLMIS on August 17 & 18 at Dr Wethselo T Mero Memorial hall, District Hospital Phek. 

The Resource persons for the training were Dr Shevo Hiese DSO, Sedeu Rupreo DPM NHM and Kekhriele-u Angami Program Officer- Surveillance NISHTHA/Jhpeigo.

The main objectives of the training were to re-orient the health workers to maintain consistency in reporting, ensuring quality reporting and scale up the performance of the Health Units.

At the training, the health workers were reviewed on different reporting done on S, P & L form under IHIP-IDSP Portal to avoid making any error in different levels of health facilities during entry of reports, incomplete data entry, duplication of same patient details etc.

Resource person Sedeu highlighted the participants that FPLMIS provides a common platform for effective supply chain management including forecasting and demand-based supply. This application calculates annual demand and usage for online indenting, distribution and stock management. He added that FPLMIS is web based, mobile app based and mobile SMS based.

The training was attended by MOs, CHOs, GNMs, ANMs, Pharmacist, Lab-Tech, BACs from DH, CHCs, PHCs, HWC-SC, SC & from Mero Hospital Pfutsero. Altogether 83 participants attended the refresher training.

Earlier, the keynote address was delivered by Dr Limatoshi, Epidemiologist while the training program was chaired by Kedupa Venuh, Data Manger IDSP.
