Phek town to link international trade centre

Phek, Dec 7 (MExN): Minister for Agriculture, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today announced that Phek Town will be shortly linked with the International Trade Centre at Avangkhu. 

Speaking at the 10th Phek town inter-colony tournament here this morning, the minister said the state government is all set to pave the Khriekesa Agri-link road to connect with the International Trade Centre, Avangkhu, the work for which would start before the next general elections. 

Referring to the improvement of Phek-Chozuba-Thuvopisu road, the minister informed that he had a telephonic conversation with DONER minister Mani Shankar Aiyer and would meet him after Christmas for necessary approval of the project. 

Azo assured that the widening-and-black-topping of the said road will be made possible before the next general elections. 
The minister also informed that development works on the Phek-Satakha road was in progress. 

Azo termed road connectivity as the most important factor of undertaking various developmental activities and called upon the public to cooperate with contractors and labourers for effective execution of road-related projects. 

The minister was accompanied by the Director of Agriculture, Supong Keitzar, Joint Director TV  Hollo, ex-minister Dr. Kath, NPF Press Secretary R Paphino, NPF General Secretary Bliase and several other party workers. 

Phek Deputy Commissioner Sachopra Vero including several other government officers also graced the inaugural function. PTC Councilor, Zashevoyi Lohe chaired the function while the welcome address was delivered by PTC Chairperson, Kupota Khesoh.
