Longleng, June 3 (MExN): Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School, Longleng new building inauguration and upgradation programme was held on June 3. It was graced by A Pongshi Phom, MLA 50 AC Longleng who is also an alumnus of the school.
The programme was chaired by P Angbhen Phom, Women Secretary PBCA; Hamchong, Pastor pronounced the invocation with welcome address by M Mongvai Phom, Chairman School Managing Board, PLHSS. N Tialemba Phom, Executive Secretary, PBCA shared the vision and mission of PLHSS. School choir presented the school anthem and dedicatory prayer was said by Rev Beaü, President, PBCA.
Dr Asangla Ao, daughter of late Lanumeren, the founding father of PLHSS reminisced on the past and encouraged the gathering to continue to endeavor for their future. Dr Henshet Phom, Vice principal Yingli College, President of Alumni Association; Dape Phom, President PSC; Jonglemdong, ADEO Longleng also spoke.
H Hamyep Phom, Principal, PLHSS shared on the academic programme of the school, followed by recitation of poetry by Manphen Keikung, Asst Teacher PLHSS. The programme ended with a prayer of blessing by Rev Mongmei.
