Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Phomla Hoichem has condemned the alleged rape of a daughter by her own father which reportedly occurred in Dimapur on July 23.
“Such abominable and devilish act has no place in this modern society. As a Phom women organisation, we are ashamed of such an inhuman act committed by such a person within our community should be condemned by one and all,” President M Mano Phom and General Secretary Doivau Phom stated in a press release on Wednesday.
The Phomla Hoichem cautioned that no members from the community should not try to bail out the alleged perpetrator and also appealed to the law enforcement agency to give the severest form of punishment as per the law.
Meanwhile, it extended sincere gratitude to all the people and civil societies who had stood by the victim and expressed sympathy with the victim, praying for speedy recovery from her mental and physical trauma.
