Kohima, November 2 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) along with the Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (NSCB) and State’s Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services has launched piggery scheme at Phek branch as import of pigs have been banned within the jurisdiction of CPO since 2000.
Speaking at the launching programme, CPO president Kekhwengulo Lea encouraged the pig farmers to give their best in rearing livestock as well as in recovery part to the bank.
This scheme is given in such a way that recovery is at its best so the CPO and NSCB insist on creating a group (Joint Liability Group) so that the members can encourage and pull each other to repay the loan.
