PM-KISAN Scheme: Over 2.05 lakh beneficiaries in Nagaland

Kohima, May 29 (MExN): As of May 2022, a total of 2,04,477 beneficiaries have been registered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in Nagaland as per an official figure. Out of this, 1, 42,278 or 70% of the registered farmers have completed e-KYC (Know Your Customer) update, the State DIPR informed, citing the Department of Agriculture. OTP Based eKYC is mandatory for PM-KISAN registered farmers.

It further stated that altogether, 2,13,605 farmers from Nagaland have received an amount of Rs 337,42,08,000 as on March 4, 2022, the 10th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme. 

The 11th installment will be released by the Ministry of Agricualture on May 31 by organising nationwide interaction of beneficiaries in commemoration with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, it added. Under the scheme, beneficiaries are given Rs 6000 per year in 3 equal installment and the  fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. As per an official tweet,  e-KYC deadline for all PM Kisan beneficiaries has been extended until May 31, 2022 from the earlier deadline of May 22, 2022.
