PMGSY construction company camp vandalized in Mon

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN): INC party men vandalized PMGSY construction company camp at Mon district on March 1 around 7:00 pm after the declaration of election result to the 48 Moka A/C, according to a press release issued by one A Neangba Konyak, contractor & suppliers.

He alleged that the INC party men, supporters of Longang Konyak, INC candidate under 48 Moka A/C district has vandalized the PMGSY construction company camp, machineries and tools worth Rs. 65 lakhs belonging to A. Neangba Konyak, class one contractor. 

The construction of the road was under PMGSY central project from Mon, Tuensang to Yei via Ukha-Yongphong. The damaged properties includes camp building, stone crusher, generator and air pump machine, diesel bearer, tool plans, timber, soil test machine, plastic pillar, labour beddings and utensils, welding machines and generator, company office files and stationeries, cash for staff and labour wages, plastic tools of pipes and vehicle parts etc. 

He further stated that the INC party men not only damaged the properties but also warned the labourers not to continue the construction works failing which they will face other serious problems. Neangba expressed that “despite NBCC’s appeal for clean, free and fair election, it is so saddening that the INC party men totally ignored the call and appeal of NBCC.” 

The class one contractor also called upon the right thinking citizen to condemn such barbaric acts and request the concern authority to take immediate necessary action at the larger interest of public.
