Mokokchung, October 18 (MExN): Inida’s first Homestay Training under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, launched by YouthNet in partnership with Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India under NSDC underway since October 17 in Mokokchung.
There are 25 women aspiring entrepreneurs registered and attending the programme. The training is being held at Marvel Guest House in Mokokchung. Some of the participants have come from as far as Tuli to be a part of this ongoing batch.
A press note received here stated that this training will inculcate theory and practical aspect as well so that the participants will get a hands-on experience on what is being taught during the class. On the Job training is also part of the curriculum which will further enhance the learning and understanding of the participants.
The training will include topics like tourism, housekeeping, financial arrangements, food and beverage, entrepreneurship and soft skills, customer services etc. During and after the training the trainees will be assisted to register their homestay on online portals viz. Makemytrip, OYO rooms and Airbnb. At the end of the training the participants will be certified by NSDC.
The facilitator for the first week is Sentisangla Pongener, a trainer in communication skills from YouthNet. The technical sessions will commence from October 23 where the facilitators will be Alder Tours and Travels.
