Launched in 2016, PMSMA is a flagship initiative aimed at ensuring safe motherhood and reducing maternal and infant mortality through comprehensive, quality antenatal checkups conducted on the 9th of every month, stated a press release issue by the IEC Bureau Section Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur.

Dr Rongsennungla, District Programme Officer (RCH/UIP), Dimapur, has urged all pregnant women in the district to avail the free ANC checkups held monthly on the 9th at all Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and the District Hospital.
