PNOF donates generator to Senapati DH

Senapati, June 4 (MExN): In an effort to help in combating COVID-19, the Poumai Naga Officers’ Federation (PNOF) donated a 30 KVA KOEL i-Green Silent DG Set Water cooled, III-Phase generator to COVID Isolation Ward, District Hospital Senapati on June 3.

In view of the rising COVID-19 cases rising in the district, the PNOF stated that it also felt the need to be a part of the fight against the virus.

PNOF President P Duna Duo, MCS, SDO/BDO Songsong stated that Government cannot do everything all the time, as it also has limitations in terms of resources and workforce. As such, the Federation wanted to show support to the government and also express its concern for the people, he added.

We were told that the District Hospital, Senapati is in need of a generator urgently for uninterrupted use of oxygen concentrator and other appliances for COVID-19 patients, so we decided to procure it from Guwahati and donate it, the PNOF President stated and expressed hope that it would help in saving lives.

General Secretary of PNOF, D John Sha (MFS, Divisional Forest Officer/Senapati) mentioned that through the support and donation of Poumai Officers posted throughout the country, the mission to donate Generator to the Covid Isolation Ward in District Hospital Senapati became a reality.

The generator set and installation cost amounted to around Rs 5,20,000. It was handed over to the Medical Superintendent Dr M Sokha-a in the presence of Adahrü Mao, ADM Senapati, Dr M Pfokreho Pfoze, CMO Senapati and other district hospital staff.
