Pooja Film Production releases its 103rd Nagamese film

Pooja Film Production released its 103rd Nagamese film ‘Notun Jevan’ here at Tourist Lodge on Monday.

Produced and directed by Ajay Kumar, the film was released by former minister and senior NPF leader, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA.

Azo in his address at the movie release event said that though Pooja Film had been rolling out Nagamese movies for the past three decades yet many people were no aware of this fact.

He lauded Ajay Kumar, the founder and force behind Pooja Film Production for the latter’s undaunted spirit to produce and direct movies after movies against all odds.

The senior politician said this only proved Ajay’s level of commitment and sincerity towards his passion, thereby also helping to promote local artistes and opening employment avenues.

Commenting that Nagas are second to none when it comes to music, acting or arts, Azo said with some grooming and moulding, the local talents can perform even better.

Azo assured to apprise the chief minister and in what way the state government can assist to promote Pooja Film Production.

Pointing out that films play an important role in society including portraying of moral values, he also urged Ajay Kumar to produce Nagamese films with Christian context.

The film director-cum-producer in his note said filming of Notun Jevan was completed in record 47 days and shot in two locations – Kohima and Dimapur.

Ajay also said through Pooja Film, a number of aspiring actors have found their way to other regional films and even Bollywood.
