Kohima, May 11 (MExN): Power Comm FC produced one of its best games yet by registering a thumping 8-1 victory over Medical XI in the ongoing Morning Premier League being played at Kohima Local Ground on May 11. Medical XI’s fragile defence was exposed as Power Comm’s Aja and Viposa each netted hat-tricks. Power Comm’s battering started early in the game with Aja scoring three goals in five minutes. He opened the scoring in the 9th minute before doubling the lead two minutes later. Aja completed his hat-trick in just the 14th minute and Viposa added the team’s fourth goal in the 37th minute. Going 4-0 deficit into the second half, Medical XI pulled a goal back in the 55th minute courtesy Along. However, Power Comm were not done and scored through Michael in the 62nd minute. Aja then went on to get his fourth goal in the 69th minute. Viposa also went on to grab a hat-trick scoring in the 76th and 86th minute to complete a dominant performance from Power Comm. With today’s emphatic win, Power Comm overtook Medical XI to occupy the second position in the league with 21 points from 10 matches. Medical XI end the week in third place with 19 points.
