Mokokchung, July 18 (MExN): The Department of Power has announced that the 132kV Zunheboto–Mokokchung Transmission Line (TL) under NERPSIP will be test charged at its rated voltage from July 22, and kept idle charged, and has cautioned residents along the alignment to stay clear of the line during the exercise. In a press release issued by the Office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung, the department said the section of the 132kV line passing through a number of villages and a town in Mokokchung and Zunheboto districts will be energized for testing. The settlements named are: Mokokchung District – Ungma; Zunheboto District – Sumi Settsu, Zaphumi, Lumami, Alaphumi, Lumithsami, Akuluto, Lokobomi, Awotsakilimi, Vikhomi, Askhuto Town, Yeshlotomi, Imlomi, Litsami and Lizu New. Issuing a public safety advisory, the department stated: "In this regard, all the public are informed not to touch the said Transmission line nor go near the same for safety purposes." It further warned: "Anybody doing so shall be doing at their own risk and the department shall not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever."
