Mokokchung, October 10 (MExN): The Power Department has informed that there will be daily shutdown of power from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in various parts of the state from October 1 to November 6.
In this regard, Executive Engineer of Mokokchung Transmission Division Ahoto Aye informed on Sunday that the shutdowns have been scheduled to allow vegetation clearance along the 132kV and 66kV Transmission Lines under Transmission Division Mokokchung. “This exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply,” the EE stated.
It further appealed consumers to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
