Dimapur, September 29 (MExN):A high voltage transmission tower located alongside NH 29 has been put out of circuit for public safety. The Executive Engineer (Transmission Division), Dimapur informed that a 132kV transmission tower in Pherima was posing danger to the public after it was disturbed by a landslide. “The affected tower has been taken down safely and the Department is making all effort to restore the line through temporary arrangements,” stated the EE through a press release.
While acknowledging the inconvenience it was causing, the Department requested the public to not go near the affected area till a permanent tower is constructed.
