Media Cell, Liberal Democratic Party of Nagaland
A Society is not only reflected by the Church but also by the kind of “politics” we live in. Politics does play an important role in how the society will be, thus it determines our Future! Each and every Individual is equally responsible for the formation of a Government. Let us not stay idle and be ignorant anymore but help promote ‘Clean Election’ by inspiring youths and old altogether, educating one another, reaching out to people and also educating our parents about the benefits of clean election for choosing the right candidate from each and every constituencies around our State. Suppose, from a constituency if a candidate is elected, who are the ones that benefits from the candidate? Say about 20-30%. What about the remaining citizens of the state. Why should there be Inequality, Favoritism and Nepotism? Are not the rest of the 70-80% equally same citizens of the state, as much as the 20-30% favored (privileged) people? Wake up, dear brothers & sisters, let us not just sit idle & watch or give remarks and advices but be a solution to our broken society. As John F. Kennedy once said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
If we elect our MLAs by means of clean election, the common people will have more power to overthrow the corrupted elected leaders from the exposed corruptions. “The power is within you all”. We believe in our generation youths to take initiatives as most are educated. ‘We Read, We Learn and We See’ how the developed countries are! How they became one of the developed countries! How they conduct their elections! What benefits the people enjoy from their State and The Country.
Let us picture The American Society & their nature of elections. During the elections, the public rather donates to the candidate of their Choice for their campaigns. We see how the elected candidates then bring development both socially and economically for the people.
God has blessed us so much that we are being Spoon-Fed by The Central Government. Isn’t that blessing from above?
As The Lord said, “I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you had not built, and you have lived in them; you are eating of vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.’ Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.’ -Joshua 24:13-14.
Let us not be just Christians by Religion or be contented with the label ‘Nagaland for Christ’, but rather be Christians by living as one with our actions reflecting Christ, so that our state will become an example and a testimony to other non-believers.
Just as corruption is so open in Nagaland, so is the solution right on the face. Every Naga is a victim of unjust governance yet so fortunate that we need not worry about ‘Donating’ to the Candidates. But when it comes to electing the MLAs we should ‘Elect The Right Candidates’ through ‘Clean Election’ so that there will be ‘No Mismanagement’ but ‘Efficient’ use of the ‘Funds’ that the state receives from the Central Government. God Bless Nagaland!
